Why do songs always end before they get interesting?!? That was one of many questions that the Scandinavian ambient duo Fejld asked themselves before starting to record the epic album "Illiterate Poetry". The shortest of the 4 tunes on their debut album is just a little over 15 minutes long and it is full of surprises. Anders and Rasmus of Fejld describe their music as "Progressive Ambient Acid-Rock" and that might be the closest anyone is gonna get to put a finger on what it actually is. At KUF we just love it. The CD is availible only in limited editions and only from KUF Records. As a download you can find it however all over the interwebs.
Press play below for the second track of the album:
In the late August 2010, Rasmus Nyåker made a request posted at some music-making forums on the Internet. He wanted 13 artists and bands that had never heard his music to record covers of the songs from his debut album... This without hearing the originals first. He skipped the melody and just sent them chords and lyrics together with a request to use at least two lines from each. A full 10 days later he got the follow-up to his debut album.
Let's face it, the square's gone is availible from the 11th of September 2010 until the 11th of March 2011, and... ...it is free!
This album is not availible anymore!!!
Somewhere inbetween the land of generic pop-music and formless ambient lies the first official release of the mush orchestra. While it's been years in the making it is still not fully finished. The songs that so far make up the album 'nowhere to be and all day to get there' is however raising the bar of what to expect from contemporary electronica pop. The future looks bright indeed.

KUF001 is a diamond in all its sparkeling glory. The debut album of Rasmus Nyåker is a tour through the 'turning 30 crisis' and slips from electronic soul, through punk-nuovo, to soft triphop ballads. Intensly layered and explicit in a yet quiet way, 'back at square one' offers a lot. The album is also the introduction of the supertalented vocalist Lina Lantto.
This album is not availible anymore!!!
The sample below is the beautiful song 'a home' featuring Lina Lantto. Enjoy! (requires HTML-5 based browser like safari or chrome)
